LAHORE: PCB Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi tweeted on Friday that the PCB will give Shahid Afridi a grand farewell after Afridi had turned down an offer for a farewell match.
Shahid Afridi had thanked Najam Sethi for the offers and stated that unfortunately, he would not be able to avail those offers due to his commitments.
Afridi also expressed his happiness that Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq, both Test cricketers who have announced retirement after the West Indies series recently, were getting proper farewells.
In response, Sethi termed Misbah, Afridi and Younis ‘3 heroes’ and said that PCB would organise a ‘grand farewell’ for Afridi just like the other two.

Shahid Afridi had previously on more than one occasion stated that he did not need a farewell match from the PCB and that the recognition he had received from fans was enough for him.
