Rawalpindi Metro bus claims life of medical student

RAWALPINDI: A 19-year-old girl who fell off the front windscreen of metro bus and was run over in Rawalpindi today (Friday) succumbed to injuries.

The incident took place when bus driver suddenly applied emergency brake due to construction on metro bus track at Rehmanabad Station. As a result, teenage medical student Sumaira fell off the windscreen and crushed to death by the bus.

Arriving at the scene, rescue team shifted the body to the hospital whereas police have also launched an investigation to nab the bus driver who fled the scene after the mishap.
