Establishment Division transfers senior PAS officers

The Establishment Division on Wednesday has issued notifications of eight senior officers of BS-20, 21 and 22 of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS).

In a major reshuffle in the federal bureaucracy, the government has transferred six secretaries and gave them new assignments.

According to the notifications, Mohsin S Haqqani, a BS-22 PAS officer is posted as Chairman Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) under Industries and Production Division. He is also assigned the additional charge of the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM), for a period of three months or till the privatisation of Pakistan Steel Mills, whichever is earlier.

Three officers of Bs-21 who were transferred include, Rizwan Ahmed, a BS-21 officer, presently working as Chairman Trading Corporation of Pakistan under Commerce Division has transferred and posted as Additional Secretary Establishment Division.

Mushtaq Ahmed Shaikh, a BS-21 officer, presently posted as Additional Secretary Ombudsman Secretariat is posted as Chairman Trading Corporation of Pakistan under the Commerce Division.

Iqbal Muhammad Chauhan, a BS-21 officer, presently posted as managing director admin of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of National School of Public Policy on deputation basis.

Similarly, four officers of BS-20 who have assigned new assignments include Haroon Ahmed Khan, a BS-20 officer PAS presently OSD at Establishment Division is posted as Joint Secretary Law and Justice Division.

Muhammad Hashim Tareen, a BS-20 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) is posted as Joint Secretary Water and Power Division.

Irum Bukhari, a BS-20 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) presently awaiting posting in Establishment Division, is transferred and posted as Joint Secretary Industries and Production Division.

Sheikh Ziaul-Haq, a BS-20 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) is transferred and posted as Joint Secretary Defence Division.
