SUKKUR: The Khairpur’s Social Welfare Department in collaboration with local non-government organisations (NGOs) have set up 10 heat stroke first aid relief camps in different areas of the district.
Keeping in view, a number of citizens had suffered from heat stroke since the beginning of summers.
The Social Welfare Department has informed that 10 heat stroke relief camps, including one in Kot Diji Taluka and Kingri, two in Khairpur, Faiz Gunj town, Mirwah, and Nara taluka, had been set up.
These centres will cater for patients as well as carry out registration and medical first aid would be provided to them, while serious sunstroke patients would be referred to the District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital Khairpur for further medical treatment.
The civil society of Khairpur has hailed the action of the administration by announcing to collaborate with them by setting up their own relief centres for the heat stroke patients.
