A letter, written by a citizen Rashid Habib, requesting the Supreme Court to take a sou moto notice of the unavailability of clean water in the country, was sent today.

Water is an essential part of life, and it is the utmost responsibility of the government to provide citizens with clean water, as long and intense summers are ahead, which could become fatal in the absence of clean water.

The letter stated different filter plants in the country have become useless due to government’s negligence. The letter urged the chief justice of Pakistan to take a notice of the matter so that it could be fixed on urgent basis.
