Owing to the negligence and incompetence of Rawalpindi Board Intermediate and Secondary of Education (RBISE) officials, around 35000 matric certificates which were prepared for delivery to the successful candidates have gone wasted due to errors and mistakes.
Around Rs 1 million of Education Board Rawalpindi have gone down the drain. The students who have passed annual examination of matric will have to wait for a long period to acquire their certificates.
Punjab Higher Education Authority chairman has taken notice of the issue and appointed Asghar Mall College principal to probe into the matter. The chairman also nullified the inquiry committee constituted by board chairman under Kahuta Boys College.
According to sources, these certificates are full of errors including wrong names of students and incorrect marks of subjects. The department had charged Rs 550 per student as fee of the certificate.
