Next budget to bring relief to all salaried individuals currently employed as federal finance ministers: Dar

Giving an idea to reporters about the upcoming federal budget, finance minister Ishaq Dar told reporters that the Finance Bill is going to be relief oriented.

“It will be touted as a (certain) people-friendly budget, I can assure you of that,” he said, while speaking to reporters at the Q Block of the federal secretariat.

“It is, of course, difficult to bring relief to each and every individual economic agent within a country; the management of the economy is a series of trade-offs and choices,” he said. “But within those, we have decided to give relief to a sub-section within the services sector.”

“That portion of the services sector that is currently employed as federal finance ministers,” he said. “

“Now, yes, some might argue that the government is doing this for political purposes since this demographic votes for the PML(N), but I can assure you, we have no such considerations in mind,” he continued. “The purpose is simple: to give relief to this extremely hardworking and vital sector of our society.”

“Just the way the country’s farmers toil away, tearing through the soil to ensure there is food on our tables, this long ignored demographic also works very hard. Why not reward it for its hard work?”
