Chinese delegation, Punjab govt discuss matters of mutual interests

 

A delegation led by Sichuan Provisional People’s Congress of Standing Committee Vice president Peng Yu called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday.

Ideas were exchanged regarding matters of mutual interest, promoting Pak-China relationship and enhancing cooperation in different sectors. While conversing with Chinese delegation, CM Sharif said that Pak-China friendship has no comparison globally and Chinese cooperation has set the basis of a new era in development and progress in Pakistan.

He said that under the vibrant leadership of Nawaz Sharif CPEC projects are being executed with speed, a project of public welfare and development. Shehbaz Sharif said that delegation’s visit is necessary in order to enhance cooperation in technology, industry, agriculture and other sectors, and for this, a delegation of Punjab government will visit Sichuan very soon.

Vice President Peng Yu on the occasion said that Shehbaz Sharif has played a vital role in strengthening Pak-China relationship. He said that they will promote trade and economic ties with Punjab government. He also extended an invitation to CM Shehbaz for a visit to Sichuan.

Provisional Ministers Manshaullah Butt, Sheikh Allaud Din, additional chief secretary, a senior leader of PML-(N) Khawaja Ahmed Hassan and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.
