Robbers loot Canadian senator in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A female Canadian senator of Pakistani origin was robbed by two unknown persons in Islamabad on Tuesday night.

According to details, the senator identified as Salma Attaullah Jan was looted of $4,200 and over Rs. 60,000 along with different documents in Sector F-6 area of Islamabad.

Police have filed the First Information Report (FIR) against the unknown robbers at Kohsar Police Station.

Jan, in the FIR, stated that she was getting into her vehicle at F-6 Markaz when two unidentified persons on a motorcycle grabbed her bag and fled with it

It is pertinent to mention that this was not the first time that foreigners have been robbed in the country. Fake policemen robbed foreigners at Islamabad’s F-7 area twice inside a week.

Gian Marco Augstini, in his complaint, stated that he was taking a walk in F-7/4 area when a vehicle stopped nearby and two men with police cards robbed him of his credit cards and cell phone before fleeing.
