- Doctors term this a sheer breach of fundamental rights
A ban has been imposed on the doctors to talk with media, while a notification in this regard has also been issued.
The Punjab government on Wednesday through a banning order barred doctors from holding press conferences, talking on Radio, television or writing columns for any newspapers.
Any contact with media by the government servants constitute a violation of government servant rules and anyone found involved in this unlawful activity will be proceeded against under clause 21 of the Government Servant Rule, the notification stated.
Doctors have termed this move as tyrannical and bid to suppress doctors’ voice and a sheer breach of fundamental rights. They demanded of the government to lift this ban immediately.
