‘Zardari himself is corrupt; PTI will never join his grand opposition alliance’

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that PTI will never join hands with corrupt people, adding Zardari himself is corrupt; therefore, his party will never join Zardari’s grand opposition alliance.

He said this while talking to a private TV channel outside Supreme Court (SC) here Monday.

“PML-N is celebrating victory on declaration of their leader as ‘corrupt’ and ‘liar’ from Supreme Court while PTI is celebrating victory on exposing ‘most corrupt person’ before nation after their long struggle,” he underlined.

Replying to a question over grand alliance with opposition, PTI chief said, “We will not support corrupt people,” adding, “Zardari himself is corrupt; PTI will never join their grand opposition alliance.”

Imran Khan had said after the Panamagate verdict on Saturday, “Nawaz Sharif built his empire in Punjab while Zardari built his in Sindh. There, Nawaz rigged the election, here Zardari rigged the polls,” he alleged, claiming the two leaders are taking turns and have secretly agreed as to how they will rob the country of its resources.

“Both have money abroad. Both are involved in money laundering,” Imran claimed then while urging voters to demand an explanation from Zardari and ask him to explain how he acquired his assets.
