Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan has stressed the need for joint and concerted efforts for the progress of the country.
Speaking at ‘Oral Presentation Competition’ of MPhil students at the Dr AQ Khan Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (KIBGE), University of Karachi, he said being the future of the country, students should improve their knowledge and work hard in their respective fields.
KIBGE Director Prof Dr Abid Azhar said this is the age of competition in which progress is not possible without quality education and research.
“Our research activities must be in line with the modern needs of the country and nation,” he added.
Prof Azhar pointed out that the KIBGE lays special emphasis on quality research and its social and economic benefits. He appreciated students over presenting their work in a professional manner.
Syeda Arisha Zaidi secured first, Mariam Amjad got second, while Sanober Kafeel got the third position in the competition.
