Acting on a tip-off, SHO Waleed, Athar Channa, along with a police party, conducted a raid and arrested six most wanted criminals involved in heinous crimes such as kidnapping for ransom, murder, dacoities and robberies.
The police claimed that the accused used to commit their criminal activities from Balochistan province since 2009. After that, they shifted their hideouts to district Jacobabad, where they continued committing robberies and dacoities, and used to escape to Larkana after doing that.
On the direction by SSP Umar Tufail, the police team encircled the area and nabbed six of them after a brief encounter.
During initial interrogation, the arrested criminals, including Badal Umrani, Rahim Bux and Sharif Umrani, confessed to having snatched 100 bikes from different districts and selling them in Balochistan. Weapons and ammunition was also recovered from their possession, the police said.
