Fire erupts in New Anarkali Plaza

LAHORE: Firefighters are battling a fire that erupted in a shop in New Anarkali plaza, Lahore.

The blaze erupted in the early hours on Monday, spread quickly to other nearby shops in the area.

Fire brigade and Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and launched rescue operation.

At least six vehicles of fire brigade are busy in bringing the fire under control.

A total 0f 26 basement shops and two other shops have been burnt completely, according to the latest reports.

Reportedly, the fire broke out due to short circuiting.

The fire brigade is not too confident that the fire will be placed under control soon; as the fire extinguishing equipment isn’t enough.

No loss of life has been reported in the incident.
