NTS allocates Rs 10m scholarships for Khyber Agency students

National Testing Service of Pakistan (NTS) has allocated Rs 10 million for need-base scholarships to the students of Khyber Agency.

In a continuation, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NTS and Khadim-ul-Khalq Foundation, a social organization currently operating in Khyber Agency to sponsor education from class 7 to 12.

Addressing the function, NTS Chief Executive Officer Dr Sherzada Khan said that this amount would cover the full tuition fee, stipend and related costs of the students.

He said that NTS had spent Rs 170 million on need-base scholarships since its inception adding that NTS was playing its positive role in education sector. He said to improve the socio economic conditions of the Pakistani people, NTS had established its CSR department under the corporate social responsibility initiative.

He said the purpose of this was to award scholarship to the needy students from the underprivileged background.

MNA Shah G Gul Afridi said that NTS was promoting merit in the country and he, also appreciated the efforts of the body for providing scholarship to the needy students of the agency.
