Federal Minister for Planning Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal said on Saturday that optimistic approach is a must for turning the hope of progress into a reality.
Addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony here at Aapa Nisar Fatima Girls High School, he said that the contemporary age is of education and that the success of an individual was dependent on their ability.
The minister said that progress was continuously taking place in education, adding that in the present era, research and vision were of high importance.
Ahsan Iqbal said that lagging behind in education was the crux of the problems with the Muslim world.
The minister said: “The Holy Quran gives detailed guidance regarding all spheres of life”.
He said that teachers should polish minds and inspire students into becoming scientists and scholars. He also said that the students should be taught the right concepts for all that they study.
Parents should also understand that the young generation should be treated with compassion instead of being insensitively forced into studying, he remarked.
Ahsan, while speaking about the school, said that it was running with a goal of creating responsible citizens of the future.
He advised the students to seek help from Allah and try to get the blessings of their elders, especially, their mothers.
He also distributed medals and certificates to the students.
