KARACHI: PTI MPA Khurrum Sher Zaman on Friday said that private schools were forcing parents to purchase school uniform at expensive prices from their schools or designated shops.
He stated this while moving a call attention notice at the Sindh Assembly.
Khurrum said that he has received a pile of complaints from parents of students who study in private schools to raise the issue in the assembly.
“School registration form does not allow private schools to do this kind of business,” he pointed out.
On this, Sindh Education Minister Jam Mehtab said that the Education Department has a complaint cell; parents should register their complaints there for an inquiry to be conducted.
And, if a school found guilty of the same the department will take action against it, he added.
