JAMAICA: The first test of the three-match series between Pakistan and West Indies will be played on Friday at Jamaica.
This will be an important series for Pakistan as two of its senior most players Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan will bid farewell to international cricket after the tour comes to an end.
Misbah will be aiming to win his last series while Younis will be playing for crossing the 10,000 test run-mark.
Pakistan’s recent performance in the test format was not up to par as they suffered back to back whitewashes at the hands of New Zealand, making it six losses in a row.
Meanwhile, the Caribbean side has also won just one out their previous five test matches.
Pakistan’s Hasan Ali has become doubtful for the game after suffering an injury in a practise game.
Shimron Hetmyer and Vishaul Singh could be making their test debut for West Indies while Shannon Gabriel is declared fit to play.
