KARACHI: Sindh Food Minister Nisar Ahmed Khurho confirmed that 181,080 wheat bags were spoiled instead of 294,992 in the province, during Friday’s Sindh Assembly session.
The session started with recitation of Holy Quran and Naat Sharif with Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani in the chair
During question hour, Khuhro said that the wheat bags were damaged due to heavy rain and flood in 2001. He said stocks were auctioned through a high-powered committee constituted by the Sindh chief minister through open bids.
Replying to another question, he said that no wheat bag was illegally stored in April 2014.
Remarkable achievement, they managed to save 113912 bags. Bravo!!!
