KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khawaja has taken notice of alleged threats by armed men to some members of the Hindu community in Darya Khan Marri area of Nawabshah.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Sindh Police in a statement issued here on Thursday.
He said that the IGP Sindh directed that the case pertaining to reports about threats and attacks on Hindu community in Darya Khan Marri area of Nawabshah.
The IGP also issued directives in this regard to the Central Police Office’s (CPO) Complaint Cell in-charge.
He also transferred investigation of this case from police station concerned to the in-charge Complaint Cell for ensuring investigation in an effective and coordinated manner.
The IGP directed that those responsible be brought to book and justice be provided to the affected families and their protection be ensured.
