KARACHI: A man has been killed and four others were injured in separate incidents of firing in Karachi on Thursday.
A man shot near Sindhi Hotel succumbed to injuries later in hospital.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Farman Ansari, a resident of Liaquatabad, and he was doing a private job. The police have suspected that the victim was killed over a business dispute or a financial matter.
Meanwhile, another man named Abdul Basit was shot for resisting a robbery bid within Aram Bagh Police jurisdiction. Similarly, two other persons Karim Khan and Nayeem were shot while resisting a robbery bid at Supper Highway within Sachal Police jurisdiction and ManguPir respectively.
In Hill Park Raza Society, a man Ahmed inadvertently shot himself with his own pistol.
The police have registered all the cases and started an investigation.
