Bilawal summons CEC ahead of Panama case verdict

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has summoned the party’s central executive committee (CEC) meeting in Islamabad, ahead of Panama case verdict.

CEC members will discuss party strategy to tackle the possible outcome of the Panama case.

The Supreme Court had come to a decision regarding Panama case on February 23, but reserved the decision for an indefinite time period. The apex court, on April 18, revealed that it will announce the verdict of the high profiled case on April 20.

The trial of this case went on for approximately four months. During this time, Imran Khan accused Muslim League-Nawaz of misleading the nation. He brought all the opposition parties on one platform to demand the prime minister to resign and present himself for accountability.

Strict security measurements are being designed inside and outside the SC. Extra security would be given to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) chairman Siraj-ul-Haq and Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed.
