Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Amin Wains along with Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rai Ijaz inaugurated two newly built traffic sectors in the areas of Ichra and Township on Tuesday.
Built at a cost of over 10 million, both sectors will facilitate the citizens regarding the learner, duplicate and international driving licenses, and people will also be able to deposit their traffic violation tickets in these traffic sectors.
CCPO Lahore said on the occasion said, “Traffic wardens are always on the roads to serve people and I salute to all those traffic wardens who perform their duties in the scorching heat when the temperature is 46 Celsius these days,” CCPO said.
Speaking on the occasion, CTO Lahore Rai Ijaz said that a special traffic management committee has been established and people’s representatives have also been included in it to resolve the traffic problems of the masses.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadar Sardar Asif, SP Model Town Ismail Kharak, concerned DSPs, traffic wardens, Principal Jamia Ashrafia Maulana Fazal Rahim and a large number of traders were also present on the occasion.
