The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted nine countrywide operations and seized huge cache of drugs weighing 9.551 tonnes amounting to Rs 24.76 billion.
The force also rounded up seven persons during operations involved in drug trafficking and impounded four vehicles being used in the transportation of drugs.
The seized drugs comprised 5,793.5 kg opium, 2,246.3 kg heroin and 1,511.2 kg hashish.
The ANF-Quetta in three separate mega intelligence based operations carried out at Qilla Abdullah and Panjgur, seized 9.539 tonnes narcotics.
According to details, the ANF raided a desolate site located at Killi Norak Suleman Khel, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah, seizing 5,793 Kg opium concealed in a seasonal stream.
Moreover, 2,246 Kg heroin was seized as a result of an intelligence-based operation conducted at an uninhabited site situated at Killi Haji Khan Roghani, Tehsil and District Qilla Abdullah. The drug was stuffed in plastic bags.
As per preliminary reports, the drug consignments were stocked for handing over to another narcotics gang for shifting to some unidentified destination.
