NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi said that Pakistan and India should work together to find a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue.
She was talking to the US media in New York on Sunday. Maleeha Lodhi said that United States is in the best position to defuse the rising tensions between Pakistan and India over Kashmir dispute as it enjoys good relations with both countries.
She further said that the United States lacked balance in its approach to the South Asian affairs in recent years which affected Pak-US relations to some extent.
Maleeha Lodhi said that Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan and asked the new US administration back the peace process in the war-torn country.
