- ‘It doesn’t matter how many of my men disappear’
Former president Asif Ali Zardari finally broke his silence on the removal of Sindh IG AD Khawaja. Following the 18th Amendment, he said, the decision of appointing IG lies with the province.
In an interview on Sunday, the PPP co-chairman said that if AD Khawaja was a good officer so were others.
Speaking about his aides who have gone missing during the past three weeks, Zardari said that it did not stop him.
“It doesn’t matter how many of my men disappear,” he stressed. Taking a jibe at the prime minister, he said that Nawaz was now wearied and he [Zardari] will make sure that PPP exhausts him.
He further said that the federal government gave nothing to the Sindh government.
“I am yet to see promises made by the federal government yet to materialise,” he underscored.
The former president went on to say that his party will chant the slogan of “go Nawaz go” in the PPP’s next rally.
