CM Punjab is a role model for other provinces: KP governor

 

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif here on Sunday and exchanged words on matters of mutual interest and the promotion of inter-provincial harmony.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan was fast moving ahead and was more developed, prosperous, and peaceful today as compared to 2013. The chief minister said that Pakistan belongs to all Pakistanis and that all citizens had to work collectively for the country’s development.

Pakistan will progress when all of its provinces develop simultaneously, he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that negative politics of stubborn and personal ego was not in favor of Pakistan. The chief minister said that need of the hour was to move forward collectively for the progress and development of Pakistan, adding that the people living in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab were brothers. He said that the Punjab government had catered to top students from KP and other provinces in its various educational programs. This initiative of the government is promoting national unity, brotherhood, and inter-provincial harmony, he said.

KP Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that the outstanding performance of the chief minister was a role model for other provinces and that Shehbaz Sharif had set new records of public service. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that the credit for saving billions of rupees through transparency in different projects goes to the leadership of the PML-N. He said that the Punjab government had set a wonderful example of completing developmental projects well on time.
