Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Amin Wains said that the benefits of Local Eye software have started reaching people as complaints of more than 200 citizens were addressed using the software which was launched just three days ago.
“Vigilance in residential areas needs to be strengthened to foil terrorists and their facilitators,” he said, giving a briefing to Lahore Mayor Mubashar Javed during his visit to the software’s central command and control room at the CCPO office on Saturday.
The mayor said on the occasion that the Lahore police was effectively using the technology to address the grievances of the public and that elected representatives were helping the police eliminate crime from the city.
“All the deputy mayors and elected councillors have been directed to share all necessary information related to crimes with the concerned police stations,” the mayor said.
Member Provincial Assembly Farzana Butt, Deputy Mayor Haji Allah Rakha, SSP Admin Rana Ayaz Salim, SSP Discipline Tariq Aziz and SP Civil Lines Ali Raza were also present on the occasion.
