Greater Iqbal Park Project Director (PD) Javaid Hamid has been shot injured on Shairanwala road here.
According to police, Javaid Hamid was on the way to Greater Iqbal Park in his car Thursday when some unidentified motorcyclist opened fire at him. Consequently, he received two bullet injuries on his leg. He was immediately rushed to Services Hospital for medication. The suspects fled the scene after the incident. The police have registered the case and started searching the suspected persons.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the incident of firing and sought a report from CCPO Lahore. He has ordered the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.
