Pakistan becomes second team to have most ODI wins

PROVIDENCE: Pakistan became only the second team to have won most ODIs after defeating hosts West Indies in third one-day international (ODI) in Guyana.

Pakistan’s ODI team have won 460 matches out of 874 played surpassing India who have won 459 matches out of 907. Australia are placed on the top spot with 554 wins from 898 matches.On Tuesday, Shoaib Malik scored an unbeaten century to lead Pakistan to series win against the West Indies.

“I can’t thank Hafeez enough for the way he played because he took all the pressure off me,” said Malik after collecting both the “Man of the Match” and “Man of the Series” awards.

By winning this series, Pakistan have managed to directly qualify for World Cup to be held in 2019.
