LARKANA: Larkana and its suburbs remained in the grip of severe heat on Wednesday, forcing the majority of people to remain indoors.
The local Met Office recorded 47.0 Degree celsius as maximum temperature, while the temperature at the Mohenjodaro Airport was 45 degree Celsius.
People of Larkana are currently experiencing hottest days of the season.
The severe heat has affected the daily business and the prices of ice and cold drinks have soared tremendously. The weather severity has increased cases of sunstroke, sunburn. Many patients were shifted to private hospitals for treatment.
Frequent and prolonged power outages along with water shortage made life further miserable for the residents.
The doctors have advised people to drink more water and cover head while walking in the sunshine.
