Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not take Parliament into confidence on matter of Kulbhushan Jadav.
‘What punishment has been awarded to Kulbhushan Jadav is awarded to spies under Pakistan Army Act. The government should tell the world that it has done it legally and constitutionally’, Khursheed said this while talking to media on Tuesday.
‘We convene Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting as per the schedule and today its meeting was also held. Auditor General Pakistan (AGP) has not been appointed as yet. This appointment should have been made forthwith. This is a constitutional position and it should not be kept vacant. Someone should have been inducted immediately”, he remarked.
“We were told that the president appointed someone temporarily on this post. We came to know later that it was not also done. ‘Had the meeting taken place without AGP today then its legal position could have been challenged’, he added.
He said that in Pakistan so many big posts were vacant. ‘Problem is this they go on searching who is loyal. They linger on appointments on important positions for the sake of searching loyal’, he remarked.
