FIA arrests imposter behind leaked CSS papers on social media

The person behind the leakage of CSS papers on social media was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday after 55 days, and would be presented before the court, Islamabad.

According to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of FIA, Muhammad Arif Khan son of Hafiz Muhammad Akbar Khan, resident of Faisalabad was involved in fake leaked papers of Central Superior Services (CSS) papers.

It was revealed in the investigation that the aforementioned man made a Facebook account in the name of girl, Sadia Kousar and first uploaded the status, and after few hours posted the question papers. Which, apparently looked like she (Arif Khan) leaked the English paper 20 days before the examination. He has also mentioned two queries of current affairs paper on January 31.

The post was first viral on media and was much criticized and put the credibility of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) at stake.

Subsequently, the FPSC sought help from FIA on February 17. Then, an investigation was initiated against Sadia Kousar, who allegedly ‘leaked’ the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination questions on Facebook much earlier than exams. The high-level inquiry was started as the questions asked in CSS examination were word-to-word same which Sadia posted on the web.

Then, it was also highlighted that the information regarding CSS papers was being leaked in a secret group for which huge money ranging from Rs 30,000 to Rs 80,000 was demanded to become its member, which proved wrong.

Then, the candidates of CSS-2017 also emphasized the need to develop strong and foolproof mechanisms to maintain secrecy and confidentiality of question papers and other related information at the FPSC.
