Capital Development Authority (CDA) is determined to restore sanctity of master plan of Islamabad and will ensure implementation of building by-laws around the city.
Entire machinery of CDA is in motion to discourage violation of Islamabad’s master plan and violation of building bye laws. Islamabad’s status as beautiful and planned city will be secured. Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz said in a statement.
He said that Islamabad’s beauty and grace were compromised in past by previous administrations while present CDA administration is strong willed to avoid past mistakes. He said that some initiatives have already been taken to this effect and forceful effort in this direction will continue in future as well.
Mayor said that concrete steps were being taken to regulate, control and curtail unplanned construction activities in outskirts and suburbs of the federal capital.
Strict implementation and enforcement of CDA Ordinance 1960 was being ensured so that natural grace of the capital city could be maintained, he added.
He said that general public through newspapers advertisements have been informed not to invest in any project without checking legal status of any scheme or project.
He viewed that list of illegal housing societies have been issued in the interest of general public in different newspapers as well as on CDA website.
