The Election Commission of Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here Monday announced schedule for the 6th by-election to fill in the vacant seats in general women, youth and peasant/worker in various village and neighborhood councils of the province.
According to the schedule issued by the Election Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa notice, the invitations for nomination papers by the returning officer will be issued on April 13 while nomination papers will be received from April 17 to April 18.
Objections on nomination papers will be received from April 20 to April 21 and scrutiny of the papers and publication of names of validly nominated candidates will be displayed from April 24 to April 26.
The notification said that appeals against acceptance and rejection of nomination papers will be entertained from April 27 to April 28 while disposal of appeals will be conducted from May 2 to May 4.
Withdrawal of candidates and allotment of symbols will be conducted on May 5th while publication of list of contesting candidates with symbols allotted to them will be displayed on May 8.
Polling will be conducted on May 17 from 0800 to 1700 hours. Consolidation and declaration of result by the returning officer will be on May 19 while issuance of notification of returned candidates by the ECP will be on May 25.
