RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday said the census will be completed at all costs.
According to the military’s media wing, the army chief was, during his visit to the Army Census Support Centre (CSC) at the headquarters of Army Air Defence Command in Rawalpindi, briefed on details about the support being extended to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and the progress of the census so far.
Bajwa lauded the efforts of the Army CSC in the census, and paid tribute to the soldiers and enumerators who laid down their lives while performing their national duty, the Inter-Services Press Relations (ISPR) reported.
He said the smooth conduct of the census was the collective success of the army and government.
Earlier upon his arrival, General Bajwa was received by Army CSC chairman and Commander Army Air Defence Command Lt Gen Zahid Latif Mirza.
