Four people including a minor and three women died and six others were injured in a road accident near Takhtbhai monuments on Mardan Road when a speedy pick-up collided with a roadside electricity pole after the driver lost control over the vehicle.
According to an official of the police station Takhtbhai, 11 member of a family coming to Mardan from Cotton Village, Talash area, District Dir Lower to attend a marriage ceremony, when it reached near Takhtbhai on main Mardan Road, driver Muhammad Raz Gul lost control over the pick-up, colliding with electricity pole as a result Rozinat wife of Khani, Raheel D/o Ihsan, Sultania w/o Wazirzada, and minor Sana d/o Bacha Hussain died on the spot while Naveed s/o Ihsan, Bakhtawar wife of Ihsan, Samina d/o Abdul Hakeem, Tahniyat wife of Abdul Hakeem, Buktana wife of Bacha Hussain and Nasima d/o Maskeen received injuries.
Soon after the accident, the local people along with police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Mardan Medical Complex for medical treatment.
