The Three-day Tamasha festival, filled with performances, musical readings, musical ensembles, and an array of storytelling for children and young adults youth, and organised by the Association Internationale du Theatre de l’Enfance et la Jeunesse (ASSITEJ) Pakistan, will end today.

Festival Manager Umair Mushtaq told the media that the festival was arranged to create a dialogue and to bring people together on a platform where they could share their ideas.

He said that his team wanted to enable the youth to take similar initiatives in the future for promoting performing arts in Pakistan.

He said that other than the performances, informative and innovative workshops on how to incorporate performing arts and theatre into education were also a part of the event.

ASSITEJ Pakistan is one such initiative that has taken the lead in introducing theatre to children, he added.
