LAHORE: Pakistan Super League (PSL) Chairman Najam Sethi announced the inclusion of a sixth team in the third edition of the cricket tournament.
In response to a tweet on Friday, Najam Sethi said that there would be six teams in the third edition of the PSL and in total, 34 matches will be played during the tournament.
In an interview with a private TV channel on Saturday, PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan confirmed the developments.
“In the next edition, we may have six teams,” he said.
Khan said that he himself removed Younis Ali as ODI captain as he was playing an old brand of cricket.
“Modern cricket has changed a lot. Countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have left us behind by playing more aggressive cricket,” he maintained.
“Azhar Ali hasn’t changed his cricket. Even Mickey Arthur pointed out that Pakistan had been playing old cricket,” he said.
