KARACHI: Three men were found dead at a men’s salon in Karachi’s North Nazimabad neighbourhood on Thursday morning.
According to SSP Central Muqaddas Haider, the death of the three men apparently occurred overnight due to a gas leak from the power generator at the AXE men’s salon located in block E of the area.
The victims, identified by their first names as Irshad, Jahangir and Ali, were foaming at the mouth and were discovered by their colleagues who routinely opened the shop in the morning. A parrot caged inside the shop was also found dead, he added.
As initial investigation suggests, the official added, the victims had run the generator before sleeping at night at the shop behind a closed shutter, not realising that there was a gas leak that eventually led to suffocation. He also said that the victims had been using the shop for sleeping at night for the last one week.
The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for examination after death.
