KARACHI: At least eight suspected persons have been rounded up, while a huge cache of drugs and weapons have also been recovered during search operations in different areas of Karachi.
On a tip-off, the Rangers personnel raided Sachal, Gulshan-e-Mehmar and Orangi Town areas of Karachi on Thursday and rounded up eight suspected persons.
A Rangers spokesperson said that the detainees were identified as Mohammad Ismail, Imam Bangash, Zubair and Gulam Haider from Sachal area. The Rangers claimed to have recovered a huge cache of drugs and weapons from their possession.
Meanwhile, the Rangers claimed to have arrested two Afghans from Orangi Town area, while a robber group member Mohammad Rahim was arrested from Gulshan-e-Mahmar area.
The suspected persons have been handed over to police for further legal action.
