Fireworks along with the “Aerial Firing” seem to have become an entertainment fixture at marriage ceremonies these days which is extremely dangerous and has resulted in the deaths of several citizens. Aerial firing in jubilation has become a great nuisance for the citizens. Many people have expressed grave concerns over the indifferent attitude of the police towards the sheer violation of the marriage ordinance in the city and its suburbs. Previously, aerial firing at events had not only resulted in law and order situation but also had caused a sense of great fear since the stray bullet can hit anyone and at any time. I strongly appeal the concerned authorities to strictly enforce the laws regarding aerial firing and fireworks display at weddings and other occasions.
