The decision by the Punjab government to change the police uniform seems to be more in line with the fashion and the weather conditions and is akin to forcing old wine in new bottles. The alarming rate of crimes in the province is increasing day by day. Thus, the government should focus more on bringing in constructive reforms in order to improve the law and order situation, instead of changing the uniforms. It is hoped that the government would reconsider its priorities as nothing is more important than the lives and properties of public at large.
