The sudden upward surge in temperatures has undoubtedly been caused by the climate. Thus, the federal government is not to be blamed for the current increased power outages. The government is doing what it can to bridge the gap between power generation and demand through introducing power generation projects. However, the people should also do some soul searching and try to minimise power consumption to the maximum extent. Excessive use of air conditioners, fans, high voltage power bulbs, etc., should be reduced. As a result, such reduced power consumption will certainly go a long way in the reduction of the duration of power outages much sooner than otherwise expected.
