4 labourers working on CPEC road shot dead in Balochistan

QUETTA: At least four labourers were gunned down in Gawash area of Kharan District on Wednesday morning.

Unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on the labourers while they were working on Kharan-Mach Highway, a Kharan police official said.

According to media reports, the labourers were working on a CPEC-route road when they were targeted. The labourers died on on the spot.

The deceased were shifted to District Headquarters hospital where they were identified as Surab Khan, Niazi, Sajan and Ghulam Mustafa. The deceased reportedly belonged to Ghotki area of Sindh.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack as yet.
