The eight universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are running without vice-chancellors.
However, the special committee has failed to appoint a VCs for eight universities of the province. Even Peshawar University is also running without vice-chancellor. Khyber Medical University was one of the premier medical institutions of the country, which was established in 2007 and was awarded the status of an independent medical degree awarding university by the KPK government ia also running without VC.
According to sources, in seventeen government universities eight are running without VCs due to which students face difficulties, The Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Kohat University, Bannu, Swabi, Charsadda, UET, KMU and Peshawar University are running without vice-chancellors.
While giving a solution, the source said that the government should constitute a search committee under the chairmanship of Dr Atta-ur-Rehman.
