PARACHINAR: Four missiles were fired from Afghanistan fell in Kurram Agency on Sunday.
No casualties were reported in the missile attack.
According to the political administration, the missiles were fired on upper Kurram Agency from Afghanistan’s Paktia province.
One of the four missiles hit a shop in Shankak area of Kurram Agency whereas the second landed near a mosque.
The shop was completely destroyed in the missile attack.
The other two missiles landed in a graveyard located in Kharpalan area of near Kachkeena.
At least 24 people have been killed and 90 others have been injured in a bomb blast in the Shia-dominant city of Parachinar.
Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA), a faction of the umbrella Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed the attack in a message sent to AFP.
The attack comes after a wave of militant violence killed 130 people across Pakistan in February, unnerving citizens who had been emboldened by improving security and prompting a military crackdown.
Kurram Agency’s Afghan border has remained closed since February 16 over fear of terrorist activities.
