Technical education a potential sector to get rid poverty: KP governor

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the technical education bears the capacity to get the people rid of poverty and change the fate of the nation.

Addressing as chief guest at the tool kits distribution ceremony amongst the newly trained youth under the arrangements of NAVTEC at Governor’s House here on Friday. The governor said, “The Prime Minister’s Skill Development Programme is indeed offering best opportunities to the youth in getting them employed”.

Chief Secretary Abid Saeed, Chief Executive NAVTEC Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Haji Muhammad Afzal were also present on this occasion besides the graduating students.

While eulogizing the services of NAVTEC, the governor said it indeed was rendering very useful and productive role which also deserved to be appreciated. Success stories of this sector, he remarked, have led to revolutionizing the socio-economic life of the nations both in their individual and collective capacities.

‘We too, he said, have pinned great hopes from our institutions of education and training and the government has been putting special concentration in this respect’. He also advised the graduating youth to make best use of their skills and try to further improve the quality of work.

Welcoming the presence of the leading entrepreneurs on this occasion, he also advised them to playing their due role in development of vocational and skill development institutions. Through this way, he added, their business will also get impetus and would be further flourished.

Earlier, the governor gave away tool kits and certificates to the graduating students. It was the third batch which encompasses 25,000 youth across the country.
