Minister for providing more opportunities, facilities to special children

ATTOCK: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sheikh Aftab Ahmad on Saturday said that making special children useful members of the society is the government’s paramount duty and the government has been making maximum efforts in this regard.

He said this while addressing a function held in connection with parent’s day in Government Razia Sultana School for Blind in Attock.

On the occasion, MPA Shavez Khan, DC Attock Rana Akbar Hayat, CEO Abdul Shakoor Anjum, DEO Dr Fauzia Khurshid, ASP Attock Ammara Sherazi, Principal Salma Faheem and a large number of students were present.

He said that the current government has established special centres for the blind and those with other disabilities and these children were being provided with all facilities free of cost including, monthly stipend.

He said, “We must follow the principles of Quaid- e- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who secured independent country for us”.

The minister said that he would take up the issue for up gradation of this school for the blind and will also make efforts for more facilities.

Talking about the achievements of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML- N) government, he said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has put the country on the right track, and the projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will prove to be a game changer in the entire region, he added.

He said that by the end of this year 1000 MW electricity will be injected into the national grid. Attock DC Rana Akbar Hayat also spoke on the occasion.

Earlier, Principal Salma Faheem in her welcome address highlighted the achievements of the school and also apprised the federal minister of the problems being faced by the school.
