Pakistan comes first: army chief

  • General Bajwa visits Baloch Regimental Centre in Abbotabad

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday said that Pakistan comes first than any individual or the institution.

He reiterated his vision for better Pakistan where nothing takes precedence over the country. Interacting with the officers and recruits including those from the Frontier Constabulary from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during his visit to the Baloch Regimental Centre (BRC) in Abbotabad, he said that the army shall continue to contribute towards the national security.

On arrival at the Baloch Regimental Centre, the army chief was received by Rawalpindi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza. Pakistan Military Academy Commandant Major General Abdullah Dogar was also present. General Bajwa laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs of the Baloch Regiment who laid their lives for defence of the motherland.

The army chief expressed pleasure and honour to be at home of Balochis. He said that he has very special attachment with the Baloch Regiment being second generation officer as his father was also an officer from the Baloch Regiment.
